We can’t believe it’s already March.
The year is well underway, and as we welcome Autumn and the cooler months ahead, we’re reflecting on just how much momentum 2026 has already brought.
This year has started strong.
We’ve continued to grow as a community, welcoming new participants, strengthening our leadership team, and building deeper connections with families and the broader disability sector. The support world continues to evolve, and we’re proud to say that Brothers remains at the forefront, delivering high-quality, relationship-driven support grounded in our values.
As we step into the cooler months, our focus is on consistency, professionalism, and continuing to raise the standard of what men’s disability support can look like.
HOW 2026 IS TRAVELING SO FAR
The first quarter of the year has been powerful.
We’ve continued onboarding many new participants and Brothers into both the community and SIL supports, strengthened systems within our new office, and seen incredible growth in leadership from our Area Managers. Adventure Days and our new Day Programs remain strong in attendance and outcomes, and we’ve continued building partnerships across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast.
We are building Brothers intentionally, with long-term impact in mind.
BROTHER OF THE MONTH

Each month, we recognise a Brother who has gone above and beyond in their role.
Brother of the Month celebrates professionalism, consistency, strong communication, and living our values of Mateship, Passion, Growth Mindset, and Humility.
This month, we are proud to announce Samuel.
Samuel has been with Brothers for just over a year now, and during that time, he has delivered consistently outstanding support. His reliability, professionalism, and calm presence make a genuine difference to both participants and the team.
He’s always willing to step in at short notice to cover shifts and shows incredible openness when working with new participants. That flexibility, commitment, and heart truly reflect what it means to be a Brother.
Samuel, we appreciate you and everything you do to help us continue changing lives for the better.
SIL HOUSE UPDATE
Our SIL house on the Gold Coast continues to thrive.
The home has settled beautifully. Routines are strengthening, independence is growing, and we are seeing real progress in life skills, confidence, and connection.
Check out the weekly activities that our boys get to participate in.

Supported Independent Living with Brothers is more than accommodation; it's about stability and long-term development. We are incredibly proud of the culture forming within our SIL environment and the progress being made every day.
Please reach out if you are looking for SIL accommodation. We have some exciting news coming.
ADVENTURE DAYS

Adventure Days remain a core part of the Brothers experience.
With the weather cooling down, it’s the perfect time for outdoor experiences, nature-based activities, sporting events, and community exploration. These days continue to build confidence, connection, and life skills in meaningful ways.
Spots fill quickly. If you’d like to book into upcoming Adventure Days, check the link below.

DAY PROGRAMS
Our Day Programs continue to grow, providing meaningful opportunities for participants to build independence, develop life skills, and strengthen social connections in a supportive environment. Each session is designed with purpose, encouraging structure, routine, skill development, and community participation.
Spotlight: Cooking Classes
Our cooking classes have quickly become a favourite.
These sessions are about much more than preparing a meal. Participants are learning:
Meal planning and budgeting
Safe food handling and kitchen hygiene
Teamwork and communication
Confidence in everyday living skills
There’s something powerful about preparing a meal together. It builds independence, creates conversation, and gives participants practical skills they can carry into their homes and daily routines.
It may have been “hot in the kitchen” over the summer months, but the energy, laughter, and pride coming out of those cooking sessions have made it more than worth it.
We’re proud of the growth we’re seeing and excited to continue expanding our Day Program offerings throughout the year.

These events allow us to connect with new families, strengthen professional partnerships, advocate for higher standards in disability support, and showcase what makes Brothers different.
