Community Access
Helping men step out, connect, and live life on their terms
At Brothers Support Network, Community Access isn’t just about getting from A to B, it’s about building confidence, creating experiences, making memories and supporting men to live with passion, freedom, purpose, and connection.
Whether it’s going to the gym, catching public transport, attending appointments, or joining a local event, our team is there to walk beside each participant, offering practical support, genuine encouragement, and a sense of mateship every step of the way.

What is Community Access?
Community Access is an NDIS funded support designed to help participants engage with their local community and build everyday life skills. For many young men, this support opens the door to a more independent, social, and fulfilling life.

We work with young males living with:

-
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD – Level 1 to 3)
-
Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI)
-
Psychosocial Disabilities
-
Vision Impairments
-
Other cognitive or developmental challenges
Our approach is always person-centred, male-focused, and outcome-driven.
How We Support
We tailor every Community Access plan around the individual’s goals, interests, and capacity. This might include:
-
Grocery shopping and errands
-
Using public transport
-
Attending appointments
-
Navigating new environments
-
Gym, sport, or fitness classes
-
Going to the movies or events
-
Attending social groups or workshops
-
Exploring hobbies and interests
-
Learning how to budget and plan outings
-
Building communication and social skills
-
Practicing decision making and independence
-
Exposure to new experiences in a safe, supported way
Why Choose Brothers for Community Access?
Our Community Access support is built on four core values:
Support works best when it’s real. We build trust-based relationships that feel more like mates than minders.
We’re here because we care.
Our support workers show up with energy, consistency, and heart.
We believe in progress over perfection. Every step out the door builds strength and confidence.
We listen first, support second.
Your journey, your pace.
Support You Can Feel
You’re not alone. Our programs connect participants to local networks, events, and people.
All our workers are trained in ABI, ASD, and psychosocial support, with strong boundaries and big hearts.
Our team chooses this work
because it matters to them, many have lived experience and bring deep understanding to the role.
What Families Say
“Since starting community access with Brothers, my son has gone from isolated and anxious to confident and engaged. He’s getting out more, trying new things, and even made a friend. It’s been life-changing.”
