Shout out to our January Brother of the Month – Scott!
Scott’s hard work over the past couple of months has really stood out. His dedication and willingness to step in and help wherever needed at our Pimpama SIL house has not gone unnoticed. It is clear he genuinely cares about the people he supports and the team around him.
Scott is a fantastic role model and an instrumental part of the Brothers community. We’re lucky to have you on the team mate, thank you!
From day one, Ollie has embodied everything Brothers stands for. He has consistently gone above and beyond always putting his hand up to cover shifts, stepping into extra opportunities, and showing up wholeheartedly in everything he does.
While we’re honoured to celebrate Ollie with this award, it also comes with mixed emotions. Ollie is heading back home to Tassie in the coming days, and Brothers won’t be the same without him.
Thank you, Ollie, for the impact you’ve made, the standard you’ve set, and the legacy you leave behind. You will always be part of Brothers.

If there is one word that defines Kurt, it’s passion.
Kurt is always active in chats, sharing learnings, offering advice, and supporting both participants and fellow Brothers.
The relationships Kurt has built are strong, genuine, and deeply meaningful and it’s abundantly clear how much he cares about the people he supports.
Every conversation with Kurt reflects his commitment and energy. His passion for the work he does is unmistakable, and we’re proud to recognise that dedication.

Humility isn’t about grand gestures or seeking recognition it’s about quiet strength, leading by example, and showing up without expectation.
The Brother receiving this award has embodied humility from the moment he joined Brothers. Through his willingness to listen, his generosity with his time, and the genuine care he shows his participants, Gerald consistently demonstrates what humility looks like in action.
His character is admirable. He’s always willing to have a chat, offer support, or simply be there when it matters. He leads without ego and supports without needing acknowledgement.

One huge decision we made in early 2024 with a big YES was to add a four-legged member to the family.
Charlie joined Brothers at the beginning of March at 10 weeks old. Charlie is a Golden Retriever and has the most divine temperament. He is in training at the moment to be The Brothers Therapy Dog. Charlie has brought so much love to so many lives already.
We seriously can't wait until he can attend shifts with Brothers who could benefit from his company.

We love getting out at expos and sharing what we do at Brothers. This time, Aaron and Alex had an amazing time at the Sunshine Coast Disability Expo Australia, meeting new families and spreading the word about our support services.
Sunshine Coast, we’ve got you covered! Changing lives for the better is what we’re all about, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to connect with the community.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by—we can’t wait to see you again soon! 💙
“It’s a small sacrifice for a big impact,” says Andy. “If losing the beard means gaining a set of wheels that empowers our Brothers, then I’m all in.”
Andy has been rocking his beard for ten years – it’s become part of the man, the myth, the legend. But in the name of mateship and making a real difference, he’s doing the unthinkable: he’s shaving it all off.

Being awesome for autism.
On Sunday a team of Brothers attended the AEIOU Foundation fun run in Brisbane. We helped out where we could, warming up the crowd and helping runners get the run done. We had the best day, the vibe was unreal, so many people showing up to make a difference.
We so appreciate the work of AEIOU Foundation and look forward to helping to make next years run another amazing day.
